"The Rom Baro" reinterprets the most famous Napoleonic propaganda in art history through the king of Birmingham's gypsies.
Tommy Shelby on horseback, cloak in the wind, gun raised, cigarette between his lips. The pose is that of Bonaparte crossing the Alps, but the hat is a flat cap and the names carved on the rocks below are no longer those of ancient conquerors. They are Shelby. All of them.
Napoleon crossed the Alps. Tommy crosses anything.
